Golden Shores is hopping with activities during the fall, winter and spring.

The Golden Shores Civic Association kicks off the fall season with a community breakfast held at the Golden Shores Community Center the first Saturday of each month and a Community Dinner the 3rd Saturday of each month, September thru May.

The Golden Shores Women's Club holds its annual rummage sale in September at the community center.

The Fall Festival is held at the community center in October. Also in October is the Friends of the Library Bean Blow-Out Dinner.

In February, the Golden Shores Women's Club has a Native American dinner held at the community center.

In March the Golden Shores Fire Department holds its annual barbecue, auction and dance - its only fundraising event for the year.

In April is the GoldenShores Women's Club Fashion Show.

In May the Veterans of Foreign Wars holds a Loyalty Day Parade in honor of veterans both of the present and the past.

Also in May the Route 66 Fun Run finish line ceremonies will be held there and the last activity for the season. For more information: Route 66 Fun Run

The 2nd Saturday in May the Chamber of Commerce holds its Western Days Dinner and Raffle with BIG prizes.


Year Around Events:
At the Civic Center there is always activities going on. The library is at the Civic Center. There are two halls for rent for any occasion. There a Senior Luncheon every day, Monday thru Friday, all year long. The price for lunch for seniors is only $2.00. The Computer Club meets every first Tuesday and 3rd Monday of each month. There is Tai Chi for seniors. There is a 55 Alive driving course for seniors. There is Friends of the Library, Kids Library, Busy Fingers, Painting, Cards, constant activities for kids, and many more activities that you won't want to miss if you become a part of our community.

From September thru May, Golden Shores is a very busy place. There are constant activities for kids of all ages. It never freezes here and the winters are so pleasant.
From June thru August, Golden Shores becomes a sleepy little community because its so hot and the snowbirds go back to wherever they came from, but many summer visitors come to enjoy the water with their water craft, great night fishing, hunting and off-roading.
